Unity Dsvefopreef Attention: Mr. Frank Bennett, Director Gentlemen: On March 14, 1974 we advised you by letter of Code viola- tions by business establishments in the 7200-7300 block of Evergreen Way which have an adverse effect upon our residential property and that of our neighbors. They are: (1) commercial lights directed at our home; (2) the absence of protective screening between business and the residen- tial property; and (3) the dumping of refuse and rubbish on the bank behind certain businesses. In the interim since our request to you to remedy the violations by enforcing the Code, the following has happened: Your letter of March 19 (acknowledging two of the three areas of concern) indicated you would investigate and respond within two weeks. A subsequent telephone conversation with Mr. Budden indicated he had been assigned to investigate the lighting problem and that he had spoken to Suzuki Motorcycle about the dumping of refuse on the bank behind their building. He reported that in his opinion the concrete slab waste material dumped on the bank was not covered within the definition of prohibited material; that Suzuki indicated they would "send a boy dowd'to clean up the bank. Mr. Budden's letter of April. 5 indicated his investi- gation of th-- lights was continuing; that he assumed with the cessation of Earl Myers' car lot the situation is improved (which it is); that more specific 'reformation regarding lights was requested.
