The words 'NO PARKING-FIRE LANG' shall be in 3-inch stroke white letters 18 inches in <br /> height, and placed 8 inches measured perpendicul�.r from the red paint stripe on the pavement. <br /> In most cases, both sidcs of the access road shall `�e marked. Where long drives aze to be <br /> marked, the rcpetitions shall altematc sides of the diive. <br /> e. Marking shall also include the addition of mctal signs stating 'NO PARKING-FIRE LANE- <br /> TOW AWAY ZONE' to be installed at intcrvals or locations designated by the fire code <br /> official. The signs shall be approxiinately 12 inches in width and I8 inches in height and have <br /> red letters on a white background. Metal signs shall be installed on either 2-inch metal pipes <br /> for private properiy or trcated 4inch by 4-inch wood posts for public property and shall be <br /> located so that the bottom of the sign is a minimum of 7 feet above the curb. Where fire lanes <br /> are adjacent to buildings or structures and when approved or directed by the fire code of�icial, <br /> the signs may be placed on the face of the building or structure. <br /> f. Where directed by the fire code official, specific areas shall be designated and those areas aze <br /> to be marked with diagonal striping across the�vidth of thc firc lane. Diagonal marking shall <br /> be used in conjunction with painted curbs and/or edge striping and shall run at an angle of 30 <br /> to 60 degrces Gom onc side to the other. These diagonal lines shall be in red traffic paint, <br /> parallel with cacli othcr, at least 6 inches in width and 24 inches apart. Lettering shall appear <br /> as abovc. <br /> 5. Premise Identification - Premises shall be clearly identified by the coaect address at the street entry. <br /> Buildings shall be clearly identificd so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Individual <br /> apartments and suitcs, whcre applicablc, shall be clearly and legibly identified from the access road. <br /> G. PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS <br /> ROAUS AN:1 FIRG IIYDRANTS SHALL IiE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT <br /> OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 7.
