The words 'NO PAItK1NG- FIRE LANE' shall be in 3-inch stroke white Ietters 18 inches in <br /> height, and placed 8 inches measured perpendicular from thc red paint stripe on the pavement. <br /> In most cases, both sides of thc access road shall be marked. Where long drives are to be <br /> marked, the repetitions shall altemate sides of the drive. <br /> e. Marking shall also include the addition of inetal signs stating 'NO PARKING- FIRE LANE� <br /> TOW AWAY ZONE' to be i;�stalled at intervals or locations designated by the fire code <br /> official. "1'he signs shall ne approximately 12 inches in width and 18 inches in height and have <br /> red letters on a white background. Metal signs shall be installed on either 2-inch metal pipes <br /> for private property or treated 4inch by 4inch wood posts for public property and shall be <br /> located so that the bottom of the sign is a minimum of 7 feet above the curb. Where fire lanes <br /> aze adjacent to buildings or structures and when approved or directed by the fire code official, <br /> the signs may be placed on the face of the building or structure. <br /> 1'. Wherc directed by the firc code official, specific areas shall be designated and those azeas azc <br /> to bc marhed with diagonal striping across the width of the fire lane. Diagonal m:.rking shall <br /> bc used in conjunction �vith painted curbs and/or edge striping and shall run at an angle of 30 <br /> to 60 degrees from one side to the othcr. 7'hese diagonal lines shall be in red traffic paint, <br /> parallel with each othcr, at Ieast 6 inches in width and 24 inches apari. Lettering shall appear <br /> as above. <br /> 5. Prcmise ldentificntion- Premises shall be clearly identificd by the correct address at the street entry. • <br /> 13uildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Individual <br /> apartments and suites, where applicable, shall be clearly and Iegibly identified from the access road. <br /> 6. PREMISE 1DENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS <br /> ROAUS AND FIRE HYDRANTS SHALI BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT <br /> OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 7. Securitv Fenee- Any securiry fence erected around the construction site shall be located so as to not <br /> obstruct any existing hydrnnt, firc protection equipmcnt, or Fire Department access. If Pire <br /> Department access is obstructed, gates or other openings shall be provided For access. <br /> 8. A fire hydrant is requircd within 350 driving feet of every onti or two-family dwelling structure. <br /> 9.
