22. Based upon 10,000 square feet of T�pe V-1, sprinkler construction, the�fire flow _ <br /> requirement is 1,500 GPM. <br /> 23. A sprinkler system complying with UBC Standard 38-1 and/or NFPA Standard 13 <br /> must be provtded. <br /> Plans for any such system must be submitted to the Building Department and <br /> Everett Fire Department for examination and approval. Such plans must include <br /> plans for the underground mains that will supaly the sprinkler system. <br /> As of January, 1991, sprinkler system permits are issued by che Building <br /> Department. Plan review fees are assessed by the Building Department. No fee is <br /> assessed by the Fire Department. <br /> Above ground sprinkler piping must be hydrostatically tested as established in the <br /> NFPA Standard 13. Underground piping must be hydrostatically tested and <br /> flushed as established in NFPA Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests <br /> must be witnessed by a Fire Department inspector. Call 259-8710 to make an <br /> appointment for inspection <br /> Contractors' materials and test certificates must be submitted to the Everett Fire <br /> Department prior to issuance of any Certificate of Occupancy. Call 259-8726 for <br /> more informat�on. <br /> 24. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of <br /> every structure. An additional hydrant must be mstalled. The location of the <br /> hydrant must be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 25. Access- The Uniform Fire Code requires that all new structures must provide Fire ' <br /> Department access roads to within 150 feet of all portions of the ground floor. <br /> Fire Deparcment access roads (Fire Lanes) will prov�de a minimum of 20 feet in <br /> width of unobstructed, all season driving surface with a minimum clear height of <br /> 13.5 feet. Fire Lanes will be posted and maintained as required by the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> 26. Access as proposed on the site plan reviewed is considered acceptable <br /> 27. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of <br /> every structure. The location of fire hydrants as shown on the preliminary sewer <br /> and water plan aze acceptable for the proposed project. <br /> 28. Fire safety practices during construction must be in compliance with the Unifortn <br /> Fire Code, 1985 Edition, Article 87, "Fire Safety During Construction." <br /> 29. Fire Alarm System: An approve automatic fire detection system must be <br /> provided as required by Chapter 16.76 of the Everett Municipal Code. <br /> Plans for such system must be submitted to the Fire Marshal for review and <br /> approval prior to installation. Submittal shall include cut sheet of all equipment <br /> intended for use. Appropriate trip tests, witnessed by a Fire Department mspector <br /> must be performed pnor to final acceptance of the system. <br />
