Fire alarm systems must be installed under permit of the City of Everetf Bui�ding _ <br /> Department. Electrical inspectors and approval are required prior to calling for <br /> acceptance tests. Call 259-8810 for pernut mformation <br /> 30. For fire safety in multi-family projects with community laundry facilities, the <br /> following is required: <br /> a. A self-closing, solid core door must be installed for the laundry room. Any <br /> restraining device must be activated by an approved smoke detector. <br /> b. A covered metal container must be pro��ded for the disposal of <br /> combustible waste in the laundry room <br /> 31. A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum UL rating of 2-A must be provided <br /> within 75 feet travel distance on each floor of all portions of each building during <br /> construction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 32. PREMISE IDENTIFICATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT ACCESS ROADS AND FQtE HYDRANTS MUST BE IN <br /> SERVICE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 33. Prcmise Identification- The premises must be clearly identified by the correct <br /> address at the street entry. Buildings must be clearly identified so as to be visible <br /> and legible from the access road. Eaca suite must be clearly identified so as to be <br /> visible and legible from the access road. <br /> 34. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because ei <br /> secured openings or where immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire- <br /> fighting purposes, the Fire Department may recommend or require a key box to be <br /> installed in an accessible location. A rapid entry syscem may also be desirable in <br /> order to avoid unnecessary damage while making entry to any building during an <br /> emergency situation. Please call 259-8726 for further mformation. <br /> 35. Sign�-Signs stating "NO PARK[NG-FIItE LANE-TOW AWAY ZONE" must be <br /> provided the length of the easement access. Locations are to be approved by the <br /> Fire Marshall <br /> 36. The City of Everett prohibits outdoor buming. Therefore, outdoor buming for the <br /> purpose of disposing of const�uction debris or rubbish will not be pecmitted. <br /> 37. Trash Collection- Ih�mpster over 1.5 cubic yazds capacity must be located a <br /> minimum of 5 feet from tl�e building(UFC 11.302(b), 1991 edition) <br /> 38. The City Parks and Recreation Department is cnncerned with the present location <br /> of the totlot en the current site plan given the close proximity to the main terminal <br /> yard of Burlington Northern. For liability and safety reasons they would like to see <br /> the totlot centrally located within the project site. This proposal must comply with <br /> subsection 15.100 of the Zoning Code for the provision of on-site amenities. All <br /> intended piay •quipment must conform to the US ConSumer Product Safety <br /> standards. �i�des and Jungle Gyms do require additional safety protective <br />
