The Police Depariment has the following security recommendations: <br /> a. Lighting of the parking lot shou(d be a minimum of 1-2 foot candles. <br /> b. Tot lots should be located near apartment buildings <br /> and situated for easy parental supervision. <br /> c. The perimeter doors should be solid core with 190-220 degree wide angle <br /> viewers and single cylinder deadbolts with 1" throw and at least 3" screws <br /> securing striker plate. <br /> d. Bay windows should overlook parking lots for security of vehicles and <br /> tenants <br /> e. Sliding glass doors should have Charlie Bazs installed for optimum security. <br /> f. Mailboxes, centrally located, should be in highly visible area of the <br /> apartment. <br /> g. Gazage should have (1) No windows, (2) Perimeter doors of solid core or <br /> mental with single cylinder deadbolts or secure with 3/8" case hardened <br /> steel hasps or chain and padlock with I/2" case hardened steel shackles <br /> Garage vehicle dcur; should b;� metal or at least 1/2" wood doors secured <br /> with above hasp or p�dlock or electronic doors with worm drive and dual ' <br /> frequency activation <br /> h. Landscaping and shrubbery should be planned so it will not provide <br /> concealment possihilities and should be maintained/pruned down to 2' to 4' <br /> from the ground so a person cannot be concealed behind or beneath it. <br /> i. During the finat stages of construction, please contact Dick Thornberry, <br /> Crime Prevention Officer, at 259-041 o for further secunty <br /> recommendations. <br /> 40. GTE Northwest Incotporated will provide services to the project site. However, <br /> new telephone cable. construction will be required m conjunction with site <br /> development. GTE engineering will begin work when notified of the project <br /> construction schedules and telephone requirements. <br /> If a rearrangement of existing cables on premises or on the right-of-way is <br /> necessary, appropriate charges will be estimated and GTE's Guazanty of Payment <br /> form will be forwarded to you for y�ur signature. Prior to commencement of <br /> GTE's engineering for such rearrangement, a deposit will be required.
