PORT OF EVERF.TT NORTH MARINA REDEVELOPMENT SHALLOW SOIL VCP LLEANUP ACTION 1.04 PAY ITEMS OF WORK SECTION 61020 MEASUR�,MENT AND PAYI�IENT A. ITEM NO. 1: MOBILIZATION/DEMOBILIZATION AND WORK AREA PREPARATION l. Mobilization includes preparatory work and operations including, but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment and supplies to the project site; and for all other associated work, sub�nitta]s, and operations which must be performed, permits to be obtained, or costs inci;rred prior to beginning work on the various items of the project. 2. Demobilization includes site cleanup and demobilization ofpersonnel, equipment and cxcess materials and supplies from the project sitt. 3. Work area preparation includes: documenting existing conditions in the work azcas by photographs, measurements, and other appropriate means; establishing work zones and traffic control provisions; removin} existing fencing within the work azea and installing temporary fencing around the work zones; and providing temporazy construction facilities needed by Contractor. 4. Payment for mobilization/demobilization and work area preparation shall be on the basis of the lump sum price stated in the Contractor's bid price for this pay item. Mcasurement for this pay item shall be estimated un the basis of the percent completc, rela�ive to the overall bid price and the actual progress towazd project completion. 5. Thc lump sum price for this work is all inclusive, and includes all overhead and profit. B. ITEM N0. 2: REMUVAL/DISPOSAL OF EXISTING PAVEMENT I. Work under this item includes saw cutting, removal, loading, transportation, and recyciing/disposal of existing asphalt or concrete pavement and any existing curbing to Uc rcmovcd from the work arca. 2. Pa�mient for rcmoval/disposal of existing pavement shall be on the basis of tons of pavement and curbing transporicd and recycled/disposed at an appropriate offsite facility, at the unit price stated in thc Contractor's bid orice for this pay item. A4casurement for this pay item shall be deterniined on the basis of legible copies of cerlified wcight receipts oi other documentation of �veight from the recycling/disposal facility. 3.
