Payment for placing and compacting onsite clean soil shall be on the basis of cubic <br />yards of such material placed as excavation backfill, at the unit price stated in the <br />Contractor's bid price for this pay item. Measurement for this pay item shall be <br />determined on the basis of onsite surveys made and volume estimates agreed by <br />Contractor �nd the GC/CM or the Port. <br />3. The unit price for this work is all inclusive, and includes all overhead and profit. <br />K. ITEM NO. 11: PLACE AND COMPACT CLEAN IMPORTED MATERIAL <br />1. Work under this item includes importing, moistu:e conditioning, placing, and <br />compacting imported fill ma'erials as backfi:l within areas of the excavation(s) as <br />designated by the Port. <br />2. Payment for placing and compacting clean imported material shall be on the basis of <br />cubic yazds of such material placed as excavation backfill, at the unit price stated in <br />the Contractor's bid price for this pay item. Work undcr this item includes: restoration of site areas diswrbed by the Contractor's <br />activities; repair of any damage to existing site facilities caused by the Contractor; <br />and replacement of any site features intended to remain that were removed by <br />Contractor to facilitate soil cleanup activities. <br />Z. Paymcnt for site restoration shall be on the basis of the lump sum price stated in the <br />Contractor's bid price for this pay item. Measurement for this pay item shall be <br />estimated on the basis of the percent complete, relative to the overall bid price and <br />the actual progress toward project completion. <br />3.
