It is not the intcnt of the Pori to list and idcntify all applicable safety codes, standards, <br />and/or regulations rcquiring compliance by Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible <br />for identifying and determining all safety codes, standards, and regulations that are <br />applicable to the work. These include, but are not limited to, thc following: <br />1. 29 CFR 1910.120, llazardous Waste Operations and Gmergency Rcsponse <br />2. 29 CFR 1926, Safety and Health Keg�dations for Conswction <br />49.17 RCW, Washington Indu�trial Saicty and Health Act <br />4. NIOSIi/OSIIA/USCGlGPA, Occupational Safety and Health Guidance Manual to� <br />l lazardous Wastc Site Activitics, DI-11IS Publication No. 85-115, Octobcr 19R5. <br />L04 SCOPE OP I IA7ARDOUS MATERIALS WORK <br />A. Hazardous matcrials work shall include, but not bc limited tq activities involving <br />personncl or equipment :n contact �vith contaminated or potentially contaminated soil, <br />construction water, or groundwatec Such work shall include, but not limited to, <br />c�cavating, handling, stockpiling, loading, transporting, and disposal of contaminated <br />soil, und any othcr intrusivc activities in areas containing contaminated soil or <br />ground�vater. Contractor shall be responsiblc for monitoring hazardous matcrials and <br />conditions and dctermining when work involves ha�ardous materials and when <br />conditions are prescnt that rcquirc conformancc with specified regulatory requirements. <br />Contractor shall be responsible for the planning and scheduling of hazardous material <br />work with all other �vork under the Contract :uid shall conduct all hazardous material <br />work in strict accordance with its site-specific health and safety plan. <br />I3. Contractor shall plan for and carry out all poriions of the work that include contact or <br />potential contact with caisting contaminated site soil with a minimum level of personal <br />protcetion of Modified Levcl D per applicable regulatory requirements.
