PORT OF EVERETT <br />NORTH MARINA REDEVELOFMENT <br />SHALLOW SOIL VCP CLEANUP ACTION <br />1.05 EQUI}'MENT DECONTAMINATION <br />A. Confortn to the provisions of Section 01564. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 HGALTi1 AND SAFLTY PLAN <br />SECTION 01350 <br />HEAL'1'H AND SAFETY <br />A. Prepaze and maintain for the duration of this Contract a site-specific health and safety <br />plan to promotc thc health and protection of all onsite personnel and the environment. <br />The plan shall be consistent �vith the requirements of Part ] of'this Section. <br />B. Assess the potential risks to onsite personnel and the environment and develop its site- <br />speci6c health and safety plan to safely exccute the work under this Contrsct. Contractor <br />shall submit the health and safety plan to the Port for review and general concurrence. <br />The Port's review a��d concuttcnce with Contractor's health and safety plan shall not in <br />any way relieve Contractor of its responsibility for health and safety, nor shall the Port's <br />concurrence be construed as limiting in any manner Contractor's obligation to underiake <br />actions that may be necessazy or required to establish and maintain safe working <br />conditions at thc sitc, including conditions not related to hazardous materials, nor shall <br />the Port's concuncnce be construcd as cstablishing the Port in a position of responsibility <br />fbr implementation or administration of Contractor's health and safety plan. <br />C. Contractor and sabcontrlctors shall comply with the site-specific health and safety plan <br />for thc duration oT this Contract. Contractor shall coordinate with thc Pori and with all of <br />its subcontraclors on hcalth and safety matters. Conlractor shall furnish all necessary <br />lirst-aid, safety, personal protective and decontamination equipment and facilities and <br />cnforce the use of such cquipment and facilities by its cmployees and its subcontractors <br />of any tier. <br />D. As a minimum, Contractor'� sitc-specific health and safety plan shall include: <br />L A description of the site activitics to be perFormed. <br />2. A listing of ha�ardous substnnces known to be, or suspected of being, present at the <br />site. <br />3. A dcscription of'the site chemical hazards (e.g., toxicity, flammability, stabiliry, <br />rcnctivity, etc.), including the nature of cach chemical; its physical properties; OS} IA, <br />WISHA, or ACGIH standards, �vhere established; and physical hazards (e.g., noisc, <br />hcavy equipment, hcat stress, ci�.). <br />4. A map of the site showing the known and possiblc locations of the chemical <br />substances, and the proposed work activity locations and evacuation routes. <br />5.
