PORT OF EVERETT <br />NORTH MARINA REDEVELOPMENT <br />SHALLOW SOIL VCP CLEANUP ACTION <br />3.02 MATGRIAL }{ANDLING AND DISPOSAL <br />SECTION 01350 <br />HEALTH ANDStiFETY <br />A. Handle and dispose of contaminated soil, water, and other materials consistent with <br />these Specifications anc! directives issued by the Port, and in conformance with all <br />applicable federal, state, and local waste disposal regulations. <br />B. Contaminated materials shall be contained within desibmated areas and shall not, at any <br />time, be placed directly on or othenvise allowed to contaminate the surfuce of desibmated <br />uncontaminated areas, except a:, n},proved in writing by the Port. <br />C. Transpori contaminated soil, water, and other materials fmm the point of removal to the <br />point o1'temporary storagc or loading in such a manner that contaminated material is not <br />placed on and does not spill or fall on designated uncontaminated areas. Install and <br />maintain chemically resistant liner and containment berm materials and clearly stake and <br />mark temporary storage locations for contaminatcd materials al all times. <br />D. Assist the Port whenever they clect to acquire confirtnational samples.
