This section specifies general requirements for protection of existing utilities at and near <br />the site. Evaluate requirements for protection of utilities as necessary to accomplish the <br />work and provide, install, and maintain the required protection of utilities as pari of the <br />work. <br />B. Utility lines present at and near the site includc surface and subsurface utilities. Ceriain <br />active utilities in the areas of the work have been identified on the Drawings. However, <br />tlie Pori neither guarantees thc exact location of the utilities identified on the Drawings <br />nor guarantees that all utilities that may be affected by the work under this Contract have <br />been identified. Contractor shall refer to the latest version of the site utilities map <br />prepared by David Evans and Associates (DEA), and shall be responsible for the <br />identification and location of all utilities that require protection during implementation <br />of the shallow soil cleanup action. <br />1.02 SUBIvfITTALS <br />A. As pari of Contractor's construction plan submittal, provide plans and methods for <br />identification and protection of active utilities encountered within or neaz the soil <br />excavalion arcas. <br />PART2-PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATGRIAL AND EQUIPMENT <br />A. Provide all necessary equipment and materials required by la�v or regulation, or as <br />necessary to safely maintain protection of utilities and to protect site personncl. <br />PART3-EXECUTION <br />3.01 GENERAL <br />A.
