The owner (Mr. Moreno) has been before the
Hearing Examiner over three years ago and found to be in violation.
The owner continues to confound/ignore the system. Currently he has agreed to demolish the offending structure.
Demo permit issued 4/19/10.
1 checked on the status of the demolition this PM. And can see no signs of progress.
The owner, Mr. Moreno is once again failing to fulfill his obligations and agreements. ( Permits remain valid only when
work is actively taking place and issued correctly R105.4)
It is my firm belief that Mr. Moreno will continue to string things along until/unless fines are imposed.
So in summery I am requesting the owner be brought before the Hearing Examiner, fined for his past failures, and
deadlines set for compliance. "with fines till he goes blind" if necessary to hold his feet to the fire.
Keep in mind that the buildings in violation are occupied, and based on my observations," meets with the definitions of
Dangerous Building and Substandard Dwelling"
Regards,
Ted
