( 1 SECTION 1-07.16(2) VEGETATION PROTECTION AND RESTORATION 2 Is supplemented with the following: � 3 Wetland/VegeWtion Areas 4 The Contracting Agency will delineate wetland / vegetation areas �nroughout the j 5 project limits that shall be protected from construction activities. For these areas, � 6 the Contractor shall install construction fence around the existing wetland / 7 vegetation areas prior to the start of any construction activity. Fence locations sha!i 8 be as shown in the Pians or as identified by the Engineer. � 9 10 No activity of any kind is allowed within the construction fence line of the wetland / 11 vegetative areas. ` 12 � 13 Construction fencing shall be located a minimum of 10 feet from the existing trunks 14 of trees or along the drip line of vegetation, whichever is the greater distance. � 15 Construction fence shall be left in place during all construction activities. During � 16 construction, heavy equipment will not be allowed within the fence line. The fencing 17 shall be removed upon completion of all construction. i 18 ( 19 Construction fence shall be a UV stabilized, orange or yellow high density 20 polyethylene or polypropylene mesli. Mesh openings shall be 1.5 inches by 21 2.5 inches nominal. The fence shall weigh approximately 0.44 pounds per linear � 22 foot, and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. � 23 The fence shall be maintained throughout the life of the contract. Repair or ' 24 replacement of fence damaged by construction activities shall be at no additional � 25 cost to the Contracting Agency. Construction fence shall remain the property of the 26 Contractor and shall be removed from the project at the completion of construction or 27 when directed by the Engineer. I 28 � 29 Sensitive Area Signs 1 30 Sensitive area signs shall be conslructed of white corex plastic in accordance with 31 the detail in the Plans. 32 33 The sign shall be attached to the fence delineating the sensitive area. 34 35 Section 1-07.16(5) Payment 36 Is revised to read: 37 38 All costs to compiy with this Section and for the protection and repair speciTied in this 39 Section are incidental to tlie contract and are the responsibility of the Contractor.
