! <br /> ( 1 SECTION 1-07.16(2) VEGETATION PROTECTION AND RESTORATION <br /> 2 Is supplemented with the following: <br /> � 3 Wetland/VegeWtion Areas <br /> 4 The Contracting Agency will delineate wetland / vegetation areas �nroughout the <br /> j 5 project limits that shall be protected from construction activities. For these areas, <br /> � 6 the Contractor shall install construction fence around the existing wetland / <br /> 7 vegetation areas prior to the start of any construction activity. Fence locations sha!i <br /> 8 be as shown in the Pians or as identified by the Engineer. <br /> � 9 <br /> 10 No activity of any kind is allowed within the construction fence line of the wetland / <br /> 11 vegetative areas. <br /> ` 12 <br /> � 13 Construction fencing shall be located a minimum of 10 feet from the existing trunks <br /> 14 of trees or along the drip line of vegetation, whichever is the greater distance. <br /> � 15 Construction fence shall be left in place during all construction activities. During <br /> � 16 construction, heavy equipment will not be allowed within the fence line. The fencing <br /> 17 shall be removed upon completion of all construction. <br /> i 18 <br /> ( 19 Construction fence shall be a UV stabilized, orange or yellow high density <br /> 20 polyethylene or polypropylene mesli. Mesh openings shall be 1.5 inches by <br /> 21 2.5 inches nominal. The fence shall weigh approximately 0.44 pounds per linear <br /> � 22 foot, and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> � 23 The fence shall be maintained throughout the life of the contract. Repair or <br /> ' 24 replacement of fence damaged by construction activities shall be at no additional <br /> � 25 cost to the Contracting Agency. Construction fence shall remain the property of the <br /> 26 Contractor and shall be removed from the project at the completion of construction or <br /> 27 when directed by the Engineer. <br /> I 28 <br /> � 29 Sensitive Area Signs <br /> 1 30 Sensitive area signs shall be conslructed of white corex plastic in accordance with <br /> 31 the detail in the Plans. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 The sign shall be attached to the fence delineating the sensitive area. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Section 1-07.16(5) Payment <br /> 36 Is revised to read: <br /> 37 <br /> 38 All costs to compiy with this Section and for the protection and repair speciTied in this <br /> 39 Section are incidental to tlie contract and are the responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> I 40 The Conlractor shali include ail related costs, except for the items listed below, in the <br /> 41 unit bid prices of the contract. <br /> 42 <br /> � 43 <br /> 44 Utilities and Similar Facilities <br /> 45 Section 1-07.17 is supplemented with the following: <br /> � 46 <br /> i 47 Loc^tions and dimensions shown in the Plans for existing facilities are in <br /> 48 accordance with availabie infortnation obtained without uncovering, measuring, or <br /> 49 other verification. <br /> 1 <br /> I Port of Evereri FqWqT-03-039 <br /> Satellite RaillBarge Transfer Facllily Final Port Review Drafl <br /> Phase 1:Pier Construclion 18 75 Mareh 2005 <br />
