No additional compensation shall be paid for this <br /> � 14 corrective work. <br /> 15 <br /> I 16 Payment <br /> 17 All labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the work as specified, <br /> 18 shall be included in the lump sum price for"Surveying". <br /> � 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Section 1-10 TEMPORARY T12AFFIC CONTROL <br /> ( 22 1-10.1 General <br /> 23 The Contractor shall provide fiaggers, signs, and other tra�c control devices not <br /> � 24 otherwise specifi�d as being furnished by the Contracting Agency. The Contractor shall <br /> 25 erect and maintain all construction signs, warning signs, detour signs, and other traffic <br /> 26 control devices necessary to warn and protect the public at all times from injury or <br /> ( 27 damage as a result of the Contractor's operations which may occur on highways, roads, <br /> 28 or slreets. No work shall be done on or adjacent to the roadway until all necessary signs <br /> 29 and traffic control devices are in place. <br /> 30 <br /> ' 31 These flaggers, signs, and other traffic control devices shall be used for the safety of the <br /> 32 public, the Contractor's employees, and Contracting Agency's personnel and to facilitate <br /> 33 the movement of the traveling public. They may be used for the separation or merging of <br /> I 34 public and construction traffic when in accordance with a specific approved tra�c control <br /> 35 plan. <br /> 36 <br /> I 37 Upon failure of the Contractor to immediately provide flaggers; erect, maintain, and <br /> 38 remove signs; or provide, erect, maintain, and remove other traffic control devices when <br /> 39 ordered lo do so by the Engineer, the Contracting Agency may, without further notice to <br /> ' 40 the Contractor or the Surety, perform any of the above and deduct all o( the costs from <br /> 41 the Contractor's payments. <br /> 42 <br /> � 43 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing adequate fiaggers, signs, and other <br /> 44 traftic control devices for the protection of the work and the public at all times regardless <br /> 45 of whether or not the (laggers, signs, and other traffic control devices are ordered by the <br /> 46 Engineer, furnished by the Contracting Agency, or paid for by the Contracting Agency. <br /> � 47 The Contractor shall be liable (or injuries and damages to persons and property suffered <br /> 48 by reason of the Contractor's operations or any negligence in connection therewith. <br /> 49 <br /> � Port of Everett FAWAT-03019 <br /> Satellite RaillBarge Transfer Facility Final Port Review Draft <br /> � Phase 1:Pier Construction 28 15 March 2005 <br />
