The Engineer's decision on the 8 condition of a sign or traffic control device shall be final. When a sign or traffic control 9 device becomes classified as "not acceptable" it shall be removed from the project and i10 replaced within 12 hours. 11 12 1-10.3 Flagging, Signs, and All Other Tra�c Control Devices ( 13 1-10.3(1) Tra�c Contral Labor 14 The Contractor shall fumish all personnel for ilagging and for the setup and removal of 15 all temporary traffic control devices and construction signs necessary to control traffic � 16 during construction operations. Prior to performing any traffic control work on the 17 project, these personnel shall be trained with the video, "Safety in the Work Zone" 18 produced jointly by WSDOT and Laborers' International Union of North America. The � 19 video is available from WSDOT's Engineering Publications O�ce, TranspoAation 20 Building. 21 � 22 Flaggers and spotters shall possess a current flagging card issued by the State oF 23 Washington, Oregon, or ldaho. The flagging card shall be immediately available and 24 shown upon request by the Contracting Agency. Workers engaged in flagging or tra�c i 25 control shall wear reflective vests and hard hats. During hours of darkness, white � 26 coveralls or white or yellow rain gear shall also be worn. The vests and other apparel 27 shall be in conformance with Section 1-07.8. During hours of darkness flagger stations 7 28 shall be illuminated to ensure that flaggers can easily be seen without causing glare to 29 the traveling public. The Contractor shall furnish the MUTCD standard Stop/Slow 30 paddles (18 inches wide, letters 6 inches high, and reflectorized) for the tlagging 31 operations. � 32 33 When the bid proposal includes an item for"Traffic Control Labor," the work covered by � 34 this item shall be limiled to the labor required in the "work areas" defined in Section 1- 35 10.5 for: 36 37 1.
