Spotters to warn work crews of impending danger from public traffic, when <br /> � 10 approved by the Engineer. <br /> � 11 <br /> 12 The hours eligible (or "Tra�c Control Labor" will be those hours actually used for the <br /> f 13 previously described work. Any work described under this section per(ormed by a Tra�c <br /> 1 14 Control Supervisor will not be paid as "TraHic Control Labor' bul wiil be covered by the <br /> 15 item "Traffic Control Supervisor" per hour. <br /> i 16 <br /> 17 1-10.3(2) Traffic Control Vehicle <br /> 18 When the bid proposal includes an item "Tra�c Control Vehicle," the work required for <br /> � 19 this item is furnishing a vehicle or vehicles for the Traffic Control Supervisor and for <br /> 20 transporting th� Class B construction signs and other temporary traffic control devices in <br /> 21 the "work area' defined in Section 1-10.5. The eligible work for transporting signs shall <br /> � 22 be limited lo: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 1. Set up and removal; <br /> � 25 2, Relocation to and from temporary storage, provided that, the use and location <br /> , 26 of the temporary storage is approved by the Engineer; and <br /> 27 3. Relocation on the project, provided that, the new locations are in accordance <br /> � 28 with the conlract plans, approved traffic control plan, or the orders of the <br /> 29 Engineer. <br /> 30 <br /> � 31 The traffic control vehicle shall be equipped with a roof or post-mount flashing amber <br /> 32 light visible for 360 degrees. <br /> 33 <br /> � 34 1-10.3(3) Construction Signs <br /> 35 All signs required by the approved traffic control plan(s) as weli as any other appropriate <br /> 36 signs prescribed by the Engineer will be furnished by the Contracting Agency. The <br /> � 37 Contractor shall provide the posts or supports and erect and maintain the signs in a <br /> 38 clean, neat, and presentable condition until the necessity for them has ceased. All <br /> 39 nonapplicable signs shall be removed or compietely covered with either metal or <br /> � 40 plywood during periods when they are not needed. When the need for any o(these signs <br /> 41 has ceased, the Contractor, upon approval of the Engineer, shali take down these signs, <br /> 42 posts, or supports. All posts or supports shall be removed from the project and shall <br /> 43 remain the property of the Contractor. The Contracting Agency-furnished signs shall be <br /> � 44 returned to the Engineer in good condition. All such signs lost, stolen, damaged, or <br /> 45 destroyed shall be repiaced by the Contractor in kind at the Contractor's expense or iheir <br /> 46 value will be deducted from the Contractor's payments. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Construction signs will be divided into two ciasses. Class A construction signs are those <br /> 49 signs thal remain in service throughout the construction or during a major phase of the <br /> 50 work.
