Each strip of H��AA pavement placed during a working shift shall <br /> � 6 conform to a single job mix formula established for the class of HMA <br /> 7 specified unless there is a need to make an adjustment in the Jh1F. <br /> 8 <br /> � 9 No HMA shall be produced for use on the project until the amount of <br /> 10 asphalt binder and anti-strip additive to be added has been established. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 2. Job Mix Formula —Statistical Acceptance <br /> I 13 The average gradation of the completed HMA mix submitted by the <br /> 14 Contractor in the mix design proposal, as required in Gradation and the <br /> 15 resulting Mix Design Recommendations, shall be the JMF. Any change or <br /> I 16 adjustment of percentages in any constituent of the JMF creates a new <br /> 17 JMF. <br /> 18 <br /> I 19 3. Job Mix Formula Tolerances and Adjustments <br /> 20 <br /> 21 A. Tolerances — Statistical Acceptance. After the JMF is determined, the <br /> I 22 several constituents of the mixture at the time of acceptance shall <br /> 23 conform to the following tolerances: <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Constituent of Mixture Tolerance Limits <br /> � 26 The tolerance limit for each <br /> � 27 mix constituent shall not <br /> 28 exceed the broad band <br /> � 29 specification limits specified <br /> 30 ir 5-04.3(8)C except <br /> 31 "�e tolerance limits for sieves <br /> I 32 designated as 100% passing <br /> 33 will be 99-100. <br /> 34 Aggregate passing 1", 3/4", Broad band specification <br /> � 35 5!8", 1/2", and 3l8" sieves limits Section 5-04.3(8)C <br /> 36 Proportions o(Materials <br /> 37 Agaregate passing No. 4 sieve t 6% <br /> I 38 Aggregate passing No. 10 sieve t 5% <br /> 39 Aggregate passi�g No. 40 sieve t 4% <br /> 40 Aggregate passing No. 200 sieve t 2.0% <br /> I 41 Asphalt cement t 0.5% <br /> 42 <br /> 4's For open graded mix: Tolerance limits shall be for aggragate gradation <br /> 44 only and shall be as specified in Proportions of Materials. <br /> I 45 <br /> 46 B.
