It is the intention of die City of Everctt to issue the Notice to Proceed immediately after Execution of Contract. Th.� Notice to Proceed will be followed immediately by a Suspension of work. The Suspension of work will not be IiBed before J�:y 6, 1995 nor later than August 1, 1995. This action by the City �vill allow lhe contractor to secure supplicrs, subconiractors and proceed with submittals required by the contract but, will prohibit the contractor from performing �vork in the field. REPLACG THE DELETED SECTIONS WITH THE FOLLOWING. 7-20.8(A) Lining Pipe shall be cement mortaz lined conforming to the requiremenu of AWWA C205, except that cement shall conform to ASTM C150 type II. "lhe cement mortar lining shall be a minimum of 1/2 inches tl�ick. The cement mortar lining shall be inspected for defects as specified in AWWA C205. Defects shall be repaired in an approved manner at no additional expense to the Owner. 7-20.&(B) Coating All of the pipe shall be cement mortar coated. Cement moRar coating shall be 1-3/4" thick conforming to AWWA C205 7-20.9 Joints Unless called out otherwise on the plans all field assembled joints shall be Lap-welded Slip Joints or Butt Strap Joints as shown in AWWA M11, Steel Pipe- A Guide for Uesigning and Installation. Lap-welded Slip Joints will have one weld inside and one weld out side. Butt Strap Joints will have two welds inside and two welds outside. All welds will be continuous and provide a leak free joint.
