WASNINGiON <br />i <br />f <br />! <br />The City Council delayed action on the demolition order and granted <br />Mr. Manley a six menth extension of time to r2habilitate the building. <br />They also directed Mr. Manley to secure the building immediately and <br />to correct any dangerous condition there. <br />After considerable urging, fir. Man]ey completed the securing of the <br />building on February 21, 1975. <br />On May 20, 1975 we found the building open to the public and again <br />being vandalised. We asked Mr. Menley, by letter, to immediatly <br />correct this problem. There was no response to this letter. <br />Our most recent insnection of the property on June 19 revealed that <br />the building is being systematically stripped of its wiring and <br />fixtures. Cver 90 percent of the windows are broken and the board <br />walk railing on the north side is partialiy missing. <br />I recommend that the matter be referred to the City Council zt the <br />earliest date. <br />r <br />. <br />0 <br />
