If the buffer
area of the stream (50 feet for a cateqory II stream)
extends i.nto the steep slope areas on the site, then the
ctream buffer extends 25 feet from the top of the slope.
The exact location of the stream must be depicted ad
contour elevations shown for every 2 feet of vertical
elevation qain to determne the location of the stream
buffer.
I
The current sensitive areas section of the zoning code does
not allow decks within a stream bffer. Other nassive
recreation features, such as paths, may be allowed but are
I ,, subject to Review Process II.B. (perfonned by the Planning
 rQ Department).
The roposed pond areas appear to be wetlandr, with standinq
water and hydrophytic vegetation. However, these wetlands
, M are vez•y small and are probably not ver.y valuable. The
Planning Depar.tment may give permission for their enhance-
ment as ponds as long as certain criteria are tnet.
`"t Due to the steep slopes in the soutl west portion of the
s site, the proposed streambed is unacceptable. Any water
convc-yed over this slope must be cightlined to the bottom of
the slope.
'M
w
I ar
