The envelope calculations should be submitted X show compliance with Table 4-4 <br />for heating and Table 4-5 for walls, and Table 4-4 for the roof -ceiling system and <br />cooling the building. <br />2. Air infiltration provisions at exterior joints, exterior doors, and windows <br />should be satisfied as required by Section 405 of the Energy Code. <br />3. All ducts, plenums and enclosures installed in or on the building sl,)Uld be <br />thoroughly insulated to meet the requirements of Table 4-6. See Section 416 of the <br />Energy Code. <br />STRUCTURAL COMMENTS <br />1. Special Inspection should be required for the following construction: <br />a. Concrete <br />b. Field welding <br />c. Grading and filling operations <br />2. Fabricator approved and r=gistered by you should construct: <br />a. The prestressed precast planks. (See PFC 2755) <br />b. Shop -welded structural elements. <br />3. We suggest you require WABO certified walders. <br />4. A complete: design and details of all the prestressed precast floor zid roof <br />planks should be provided. <br />5. Details and designs should be provided for the life -safety mechanical equip- <br />ment anchorage. An important factor of 1.5 should be applied. Table 23-J, Foot- <br />note H3 <br />6. The plank topping should be provided with temperature reinforcement of not <br />less than .0018 x the gross area of the topping. The spacing of the reinforcement <br />should not. exrged 5X the thickness of the topping. Section 2607(n). <br />7. The 1/4" "Tap Con" fastener should not exceed the tendon cover in its penetra- <br />tion into the plank. See Section 3/(s)1.3 <br />8. Unless the plank is desigrid to be supported by the masonry wall, a structural <br />separation should be provided between the masonry wall and the plank. See Detail <br />3/(s)1.3 and 4/(s)1.3 <br />
