representatives indicated they would need to speak with Kiewit
Construction regarding this matter later at heir own office.
Jerry Swan and Bill McCall, Kiewit Construction, distributed
copies of a work schedule and Bill explained the schedule as
follows:
The temporary fencing is hoped to be installed on Monday,
October 17.
All the permits for demolition of the buildings have been
obtained and all utility companies have been notified.
Demolition is expected to begin on Tuesday, October 18.
This should be accomplished in approximately four days and
excavation of the hole for the building should begin on
Friday, October 21.
The main equipment that will be used on site after the
buildings are demolished is basically a tower crane, with a
small fork lift in assistance.
Footings should start about November 1 and hopefully will be
completed by November 15. Wall forming, beams and columns
should begin the middle of November.
When the form plans are finished, a copy will sent to Mel
Calender.
The contractor is now in the process of writing up the
subcontracts and will get a list to Mel as soon as possible.
Jerry Swan, Kiewit Construction, indicated that they will be
developing the overall project schedule within the next thirty
(30) days and will be publishing every week an updated two week's
schedule. Jerry expressed concern regarding the schedule of
values, which is a requirement so that people will know where the
funding is doing to be distributed. Since this will be: somewhat
different from the normal billing cycle and be broken down
differently, he wondered if there would be a problem with this.
Mel responded that it would not be a problem as long as it could
be adjusted to meet the State requirements so they tie together.
It was requested that Mel and Dan Lavender meet to discuss this
further when the schedule of values is completed.
Jerry Swan then requested that pay request information from the
subcontractors be in before the 5th of the month, or sooner, so
that Dan can gather the information, review it, prepare the pay
form, and review it will Mel on the 12th.
Mel Calender then named off the following forms that will be
required from the prime and subcontractors:
Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages
Certification of Work and Time
Certified Payrolls
