Occupancy and Construction Comments Item #1: All cells have concrete floors (noncombustible) carpet is provided in most staff supervised dayrooms and multi -purpose areas except at high security and psychiatric housing areas on Level 4 and 5. Carpet flammability is Class "B" (NFPA flame spread 26-75, which we feel complies with the intent of Table 42-B). Inmates are "forcibly restrained" in the cells and dormitories at night. Carpets have been specified in these areas for acoustical reasons at the request of Snohomish County for environmental concerns. Iter^ 42: Project design complies. The mechanical ventilation systems were desgined for a minimum of 5 CFM outside air per occupant and total air circulation as required to conform to ASIIRAE requirements. (IINTB comment.) Item IQ: The basement parking garage ventilation system is designed for a minimum air exahust of 12,000 CFMs which conforms to the requirements of Sect. 705, UBC. Item #4: All walls on Level S2 exceed 1-hour rating. Doors #S2.02, S204, S210, (S207) and S205P will be required to be 1-hour rated. S2.03 will be changed to 1;-hour rated as required by a later item. (Change order required.) Item #5: All toilet room floors and base are ceramic mosaic tile which complies. See finish schedule. All toilet room walls not provided with tile are provided with epoxy coating at "wet areas." Masonry filler plus epoxy coatings complies as a smooth surface as specified. Item #6: Plan on sheet A9.3 shows 32" width at water closet stool.
