See Section 06400, page 14. Wall coverings specified meet requirements for Class I. Item #17: Agree. Liquid marking boards and tackboards are intended to comply with flame spread requirements. Item #18: The relatively small roof area and low parapet height served by the scupper on detail 6/A4.2 will not present a structural Problem in the unlikely event the scupper becomes clogged. The roof is designed to support more load than this small buildup of water. Therefore, we feel one scupper as indicated is more than adequate. Item -19: Agree. Detail will be revised to omit the screen and provide a metal gravel stop. (Change order required.) Item =20: Each housing module is provided with fire hate cabinets with 11" hose to serve areas not provided with automatic sprinklers (cells). Fire protection plans, including sprinkler system, hose cabinets and smoke exhaust system were reviewed and approved by the County, the Everett City Building Department and the City Fire Marshall at a meeting at the Building Department on December 16, 1982. We feel the building design complies with the intent of the Building Codes and in fact may exceed normal requirements. Class I standpipes are provided throughout the building. Item 521: Agree. Precast floor panels will comply. See structural comments. Item #22: Agree. Door #S203 will be changed to 1;-hour rating as required. (Change order required.) Item #23: Agree. Wall construction will be changed to 6" CMU wall to achieve a 2-hour rating. (Change order required.) Item #24: Design complies. Wall type "0" at the mechanical rooms mentioned is grouted full at all cells as a security line. Item #25: Design complies. See specifications. Section 11400. Hood does not penetrate floor. The kitchen hood ductwork is enclosed within a 2-hour fire resistive enclosure.
