'WMFL's statement of position on this item conforms to <br />recognized expert opinion. Frank Natsuhara has also heard <br />opposing opinion and wanted WMFL to state position for the <br />record. <br />Item =25: Okay. WMFL is doing revised calculations based on theory of <br />elastic frames (Section 2608 (d)). <br />Item r28: Okay. Lateral stiffness will be provided. <br />Item =29: Okay. There is sufficient reinforcement for additional <br />moment. <br />Item r30: Okay. Theoretical differential settlement of 3/8" is <br />acceptable. Actual settlement is expected to be reduced by <br />construction techniques which will equalize application of the <br />dead loads. <br />ARCHITECTURAL: <br />Occupancy and construction. <br />Item =1: Okay. Carpet as specified is acceptable in the dayroom areas <br />of the housing areas. Carpet was chosen and accepted by the <br />County for environmental and acoustical reasons. The Building <br />Department agreed as long as carpet is not specified for <br />cells. <br />Item r5: Okay. Ceramic mosaic tile is being provided at urinal and <br />water closet walls with gypsum wallboard. <br />Item n7: Okay. <br />Item #10: Okay. <br />Item #12: Okay. Sprinkler system approval by rating bureau is standard <br />operating procedure. <br />
