Snohomish County P1,61ic Works Department
Page -6-
3. The existing sewer main in the alley west of the proposed building is
undersized and will have to be upgraded to handle the increased load.
4. The applicant must comply with the requirements of the Sewer
Interceptor Ordinance in effect at the time of Building Permit issuance.
5. On -site detention will not be required. In lieu of on -site detention,
payment will be made to the Regional Detention Fund No. 340. The
amount required will be based on drainage calculation; as required by
the Public Works Department when design and development plans are
finalized.
6. The existing north -south alley must be maintained by easement or
within the existing alley right-of-way and will have to be vertically
realigned to handle increased traffic from this development. (15% slope
maximum.) The existing grade differential at Wall Street is excessive
from a traffic safety view.
7. The north -south alley shall provide one way egress to Wall Street,
providing adequate fire protection access by eliminating the proposed
dead-end configuration.
8. The intersection of the north -south and east -west alleys adjacent to the
Jail facility must be designed in a manner that will provide an adequate
radius for fire truck movement to the west side of the Jail. (This
access is necessary as the City's aerial or ladder trucks have a
maximum working height of 85 feet. From the uphill or west side of the
structu, e it will be °2 feet to the floor of the top floor of the Jail.)
9. That the Lombard entrance of the east -west alley shall be signed for
restricted use only.
10. All existing driveway aprons that will no longer be used shall be
replaced with full curb and sidewalk to match existing.
11. Existing sidewalk around the perimeter of development on the block
must be brought up to standards, which will require replacement of all
broken or depressed sections.
12. There shall be sidewalks provided from all parking lots to both the 'ail
and the Work Release facility's entrances. These sidewalks shall be
designed to Public Works Department specifications.
The feasibility of a lighted pedestrian walkway between the Carnegie
Building, the Work Release Facility and the main entrance to the Jail
should be given consideration.
13. City streets and alleys are to be kept clear of dirt and debris at all
times during construction. Dust suppression and street cleaning must
occur as directed by the Public Works Inspector.
