Snohomish County Public Works Department <br />Page -I 1- <br />4. The intersection of the north -south and east -west alleys adjacent to the <br />Jail facility must be designed in a manner that will provide an adequate <br />radius for fire truck movement to the west side of the Jail. (This <br />access is necessary as the City's aerial or ladder trucks have a <br />maximum working height of 85 feet. From the uphill or west side of the <br />structure it will be 82 feet to the floor of the top floor of the Jail.) <br />5. That the Lombard entrance of the east -west alley shall be signed for <br />restricted use only. <br />6. All existing driveway aprons that will no longer be used shall be <br />replaced with full curb and sidewalk to match existing. <br />7. There shall be sidewalks provided from all parking lots to both the Jail <br />and the Work Release facility's entrances. These sidewalks shall be <br />designed to Public Works Department specifications. <br />The feasibility of a lighted pedestrian walkway between the Carnegie <br />Buiiding, the Work Release Facility and the main entrance to the Jail <br />should be given consideration. <br />8. City streets and alleys are to be kept clear of dirt and debris at all <br />times during construction. Dust suppression and street cleaning must <br />occur as directed by the Public Works Inspector. <br />9. Performance and Warranty Guarantees will be required for all work in <br />the public right-of-way. <br />10. The parking lot locat^_d at the intersection of Pacific and Oakes shall be <br />designed to provide flow through circulation via a ramp located <br />adjacent to the south property line connecting the two levels of parking. <br />It. The parking lot adjacent to the main entrance shall be redesigned to <br />provide direct egress to Wall Street. <br />12. The facade of the Jail shall be treated in a manner consistent with <br />other structures in the County Complex. (Color and Texture) In <br />preparing the facade, the color and texture of the proposed buildings <br />must properly coincide with those of other buildings in .he County <br />comple X. <br />13. All lighting shall be designed in a manner that will not project light or <br />glare on any adjacent residential uses, and shall not adversely impact <br />traffic movement on contiguous City streets. <br />14. The construction and long term operation of the Jail shall comply with <br />all requirements of City Noise Ordinance 11534-78. <br />15. Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency requirements must be <br />adhered to during construction. <br />16. The specific reuse of the current Jail facility shall be reviewed by the <br />Transportation Division to determine if adequate off-street parking is <br />available to meet the demand generated by new uses. The County must <br />provide a sufficient amount of off-street parking to meet the <br />requirements of the City of Everett Zoning Code. <br />
