As Storage room 104 is tenant storage, and not incidental to the operation of the <br /> building, it is not permitted below the three-hour occupancy separation established <br /> per Secdon 311.2.2.1. However, it ,� our finding that the unant storage may be <br /> clusified as an S-1 Occupancy, and still be within the intent of the code. A one-hour <br /> occupancy separation would then be required to be ccnst�ucted to separate the parking <br /> from the tenant storage. Sections 311.1,311.2.2.1, 310.2.2 8c 104.2.7 <br /> 5. All openings in the floor comprising the threahour occupancy separation shall be <br /> protected by vertical shaft, stairway or ramp enclosures extending above and below <br /> such openings. The walls of the vertical enclosures should be of not less than twa <br /> hour fire-resistive consuvcdon and all openings shall be protected by a firo assembly <br /> having a 90 minute fire-pretection radng per Section 302.3. Based on these <br /> reqaiaments, the following comments apply: <br /> a). Details showing the fia-resistive conswction of the elevator shaR should be <br /> provided.• <br /> b).Details showing the fia-resistive constiucdon of the stair shaft (above the <br /> occupancy separation)should be provided.* <br /> c). Secdon 311.2.3.1 <br /> 2. Ventilation should be provided at the rate of 1.5 cubic feet per minute per squsre foot <br /> of gross floor area for the enclosed pazking levels per Sxaon 1202.2.7.
