No plan <br />have been developed for this phase of the project. The <br />Appl:cant is however seeking approval of the Special <br />Pro�,erty Use Permit to include this construction. <br />Because the Aprlicant is unable to give a specific date <br />or location or pcoposal for the 230 kV switch yard, it <br />is not reasonable that it be included in the present <br />Special Property Use Pecmit. It is required to be <br />re��iewed separately. <br />The Applicant is seeking variance ta allow a seven foot <br />high chainlink fence with barbed wire. Section <br />7.9.42.020 allows front yard fences to be 42" high and <br />�outh side yard fences be 72" high. The Applicant is <br />:ieeking an 84 foot chainlink fence for the purpose of <br />providing protection to their equipment and safety to <br />the public. <br />The requested variance is necessary and satisfies the <br />criteria as set forth in the Everett Municipal Code. <br />11. The exceptional circumstances for the granting of the <br />vaciance are the nature of the activity on the subject <br />property and the need for protection for safety reasons. <br />12 <br />'3. <br />� <br />14. <br />The requested variance is necessary for the preservation <br />and the enjoyment of the property and other properties <br />in the acea. <br />The requested variance would not be detrimental to other <br />properties in the area. <br />The Everett Planning Department has recommended approval <br />of the Special Property Use Permit and variance subject <br />to the conditions listed in the findings. <br />
