Puget Power SPU 16-84
Anendment
Page -2-
II
The Applicant has equested amendments to Findings of Fact 19,
i23(14), and t37. These Findings of Facts remain as stated in
the original document of March 26, 1485.
Finding t19 remains as stated. There were residents within the
area, including residents on 75th Street, who indicated that
landscaping and a greenbelt should be maintained between
adjoining properties and the transmission lines. To adopt the
requested amended Finding of the Applic3nt, that the finding be
modified to read that residents on 75L•h Street indicated that
landscaping or a greenbelt should be maintained between
adjoining properties and the transmisrion line:, would be an
incomplete declaration of the testimony submitte.i at the public
hearinq.
Finding #23(14) is a direct quote from the Everett Planning
Department's recommendations of the reauest. This was the
evidence that was submitted at the hearing and this declaration
will not be chanqed.
Finding i37 of the Match 26, 1985, Findings was:
The Applicant submitted that easements
of other utility companies ptohibit
strict enforcement of the condition that
all transmission lines shall be no
closer than 100 feet to the nearesk
residential property. The Applicant did
submit, howevec, that they would make
attempts to try to stay within the
existing easements. Further the
Applicant submitted that any clearing
related to line installation should be
Limited to 25 feet and not 20 feet as
the City of Everett has recommended.
According to the Applicant 25 feet is
standard Eor the industry.
In its request for reconsideration the Applicant submitted that
it is their opinion of Findig A37 that:
it is assumed that the 100' setback referred to
the north pcoperty line;
2. the 50' immediately adjacent to the north property
line was encumbered by an easement in favor of the
Snohnmish County P.U.D. for the construction of an
over-head line; and
3. Puget's minimum clearance requirement for the
construction 115 kV lines is 50 feet per Line or
150 feet away from the re-built substation.
