wail that will include a door at the bottom of the intemal stainvay to the
basement. There will also be a door at the top of this stairvvay. If it is necessary
to insulate the stairway walls as well we will comply of course.
2) Three(3) existing basement windows 22" x 42" are not shown in the drawings
as they are in wells below grade. These single pane windows will be replaced
with double pane as will all the existing t 200 sf of single pane windows in the
structure at present. Nonetheless the basement area will be non-habitable and
used only for storage if that is still required. Since I grew up with my bedroom in
that basement area in its present unheated, uninsulated condition I find this
ironic to say the least.
3) Detail is provided on A-1 and A-6 for these supports.
4) See calculations by Design Lines attached and address any questions to
them. The glazing for the entire structure will not exceed 30% as allowed for
natural gas systems. Floors and walls will be insulated per code and all windows
will be double pane. Where required they will be tempered safety lass.
5) See A-5 for this detail. Also expanded notes elsewhere on plans.
6) See note 4 above as well as A-2 and A3.
I would appreciate your expeditious continued review of these plans. You may recall
that we had a conversation on December 5 or 6 in which you indicated that I could
probably pick up my permit the following week. Clearly I was surprised to receive your
letter instead. However, when we last met you did suggest that the revisions were
minimal. I trust that I have now complied. I assure you that my engineer, architect,
builder and myself intend to ensure construction in compliance with or to exceed all
adopted codes.
Sincerely,
Stephe Juntila
 lti.
Enc osure: ree plan sets -two new
Attachments
cc: legal file
