Description Of Work: This work shall consist ot consiructing the rockeries <br /> shown on ihe plans, including the filter moterial ond a 4-inch perforated <br /> drain pipe behind ihe rocks. <br /> 1.02 �UALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Standard Specifications: The Speciallnspector shall review the consiruction <br /> of ihe rockeries prior to acceptance. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 ROCK <br /> Rock shall be dense, sound basalt quarry rock, free from r_racks, seoms or <br /> soft areas, with a minimum width of 18 inches. <br /> 2.02 QUARRY SPALLS <br /> See Section 02200. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> A. See City of Everett Standards for items not noted. <br /> B. The rock material shall be as nearly rectangular as possible. No stona shall <br /> be used which does not extend through the wall. <br /> C. The rockwall shall be started by excavating a irench hoving a depth below <br /> subgrade of one-half ihe height of ihe base course or one foot (whichever is <br /> greater). <br /> D. Rock selection and placement shall be such ihat ihere will be a rninimum of <br /> voids and, fn the exposed face of the wall, no open voids over three (3) <br /> inches acros� in ony direction.
