Can use zero clearance duct wrap. <br />Will need to be sprinklered. Check routing re: property line. <br />d. Exiting: Current existing exiting appears to be fine. <br />e. Corridors: Non -rated under IBC <br />I. Elevator Lobbies: Not required under 2004 IBC if not connected w/ rated <br />exit enclosure, but this may be revised in 2006, Tony advised looking into. <br />- Alternatives include Smokeguard roll -down covers over hoist way <br />entrances, Wor Doors, new Elevator Lobbies, or pressurized elevator <br />shaft, which may trigger pressurized stairs. <br />g. Toilet Facilities: No changes required. Acceptable as is. <br />h. ADA: Basically OK as is. No improvements to existing ADA deficiencies, if <br />any. <br />- Maintain accessible main route &existing accessible features from '94 <br />work. <br />Accessible Means of Egress not applied to existing buildings. <br />4. Public Works: <br />a. Industrial Pretreatment: Need to talk to them about the Kitchen. They are <br />strict about grease in the waste stream, trap or interceptor may be <br />required. <br />5. Fire Department: <br />a. Sprinklers: Areas of new work will be adapted to new layout, brought up <br />to current code, & w/ quick response heads. Not required to upgrade <br />existing areas not being worked on. <br />b. Fire Alarm: New areas will be adapted to new layout & meeting current <br />codes. New main - anel will be provided. OK to leave existing area not <br />being worked on as long as the existing FA system talks to the new <br />system. Suggests reviewing proposal w/ Rick Robinson. <br />c. Fire Flow: Check w/ Rick Robinson or Klaus Jannson. Send email to Tony <br />& he will forward to right person. <br />6. Process: <br />a. Recommend setting up Pre-App conference to strrt process. <br />b. Planning: will want 2 sets of drawings to review as part of the T.I. work. <br />c. Electrical permit: thru City & over the counter (no plan review) <br />d. Plumbing permit: lhru City & over the counter (no plan review) <br />e. Mechanical: plan review, after the building permit Nis been reviewed. <br />Good to submit mechanical at same time as building for reterence, but <br />still mechanical will be reviewed after. <br />f.
