No improvements to existing ADA deficiencies, if any. <br />New work to conform to current Barrier -Free requirements. <br />• No work required at the elevator cabs. If new elevators are installed the <br />cab needs to have one dimension of 6'-8" for a gurney. <br />• The owner can add a stop and rear door without modifying the elevator <br />cab. <br />3. Engineering: <br />• Street improvements: none required. <br />• Contractor use of ROW: permit prior to commencing work, no issue. <br />4. Public works: <br />• Grease trap: Industrial Pretreatment not in attendance. Propose small <br />grease trap for warming kitchen. Contact: Charles Johnstone. <br />5. Traffic: <br />• No off-street parking requirement. <br />• Mitigation fee: could be minimal- actually could be less traffic, considering <br />former athletic club in basement, gym vs. college. <br />• Traffic infrastructure ok in area, no upgrades required for project. <br />• If the parking garage gets re -striped the striping will need to meet the <br />current code requirements. <br />6. Fire: <br />• Sprinkler system: hazard classification: check requirements for stacks in <br />Library <br />• No requirement to modify the sprinklers in the areas not remodeled. <br />• Fire flow: 18" main in Wetmore, change of use will not affect fire flow- not <br />an issue <br />• Fire Alarm: check new code regarding detection requirements. The only <br />fire alarm work required in non— renovated spaces is to have the existing <br />detectors tied in to the new fire alarm panel. <br />Permits: <br />• Tenant Improvement permit, including structural work, if any. Typical <br />turnaround time for initial comments is 4 weeks. Usually another couple of <br />weeks to turn responses from red -lines into a permit. <br />• Submit to Snohomish County Health for food service review separately <br />• Mechanical: Separate submittal, 2 sets w/ permit submittal <br />• Plumbing: over the counter <br />
