Celia Strong -2- March 19, 1979
It also includes 30 stalls in the middle of the block between
Hewitt and Wall on Rockefeller. it does not include any of the
parking provided by the subject building or the lot across the
street from the building. Nor does it include any of the City
Hall parking or the County parking, or any parking provided by
the businesses in the area. We have talked with Diamond, and
they indicate that their lots are approximately two-thirds full
at the peak, which would indicate that there is an excess of
118 stalls available at any one time in these lots, which when
added to the 159 sites provided at the site makes a total of
277 sites available, which is ten more than the number required
for a building of this size outside the exempt zone.
I am enclosing a rough map of the core of the City of Everett,
indicating the subject building, City Hall and the various park-
ing places that we have located per the statement. You will
also note that the building is within two blocks of the City
parking garage and within two blocks of the Bon Marche garage.
I don't know how many stalls are in the City garage, but the
Bon Marche garage alone has 303 stalls available. Assuming the
City of Everett blocks to he 600' long, the Bon garage is sub-
stantially less than 1,200 feet away from the building, and
about the same from Everpark.
Therefore, the building owners are prepared to make the following
statement.
To the City of Everett: The developers of the proposed ten -story
office building to be constructed at the corner of Wetmore and
Wall Streets, Everett, Washington, make the following statement.
The building will be comprised of ten stories with approximately
9,000 square feet of leasable space on floors 2 through 10. In
addition, there will be 6,169 square feet of rentable space on
the main floor of the building. The building owners further esti-
mate that the building will be occupied by not more than 450
employees, including principals, of the various firms occupying
the building. It. is further anticipated that a substantial num-
ber of clients visiting the building will come from the downtown
core of the City of Everett and will approach the building on
foot, rather than driving to the site.
The building owners are providing 159 on -site parking stalls (in-
cluding the parking area immediately to the east of the building
across Wetmore). In addition, the building owners have surveyed
