RESOLUTION NO. 46E0 <br />A RESOLUTION pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code <br />and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br />Buildings authorizing the demolition and clearing of the <br />buildings located at 3229A and 3229B Wetmore Avenue, <br />Everett, Washington <br />WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found the buildings located at 3229A and <br />3229B Wetmore Avenue to be substandard and a public nuisance pursuant to the City of Everett <br />Uniform Housing Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Everett Building Official has found the buildings located at 3229A and <br />3229B Wetmore Avenue to be dangerous to the health, safety, and welfare of the public <br />pursuant to the City of Everett Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official issued and properly served <br />Notices and Orders requiring the owners of the property to repair or demolish and remove the <br />buildings from the property; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that permits for the repair or demolition of the buildings <br />have not been secured as required in the Orders; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners of the property have neither appealed the <br />Notices and Orders issued by the Building Official nor have they secured demolition permits by <br />August V , 1998 as they indicated they would do in a letter to the Building Official; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Official has the authority to recommend <br />this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of <br />Dangerous Buildings; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given notice of this Council <br />meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the <br />health, safety, and welfare of the public that a Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of <br />the buildings; <br />
