Bob Long - The xitnesa aubmitted that aiace 1962 he hae operated a <br /> business near the esisting site of the Applicant. According to <br /> the witneas the applicant has been a good neighbor and has <br /> reaponded i�ediately rrhenever there were any problema. The <br /> witnese recommeaded approval of the facility. <br /> 9. Gail Chism - The witneas opposed the project because of its <br /> location near the Losrell neighborhood which ahe claime hae a "fair <br /> ahare" of facilities and development. She etated [liat she feara <br /> that the tenants will roem the Lo�aell neighborhood. She xas <br /> concerned about the cumulative effect of thie type of development <br /> nezt to a Block Grant Neighborhood. The witnees also aubmitted <br /> that the property could be zoned with adult entertainment and thus <br /> xae not the place to put thia type of facility. She stated that <br /> the Lowell Plan of the City of Sverett calls for clean Snduatry <br /> and the Riveraide Redevelopmeat Plan calle for a clean-up of the <br /> area and that the propoeal wae not consiatent aith these plans. <br /> She further submitted that the homeleae should not be located in <br /> the same facility as tranaients. <br /> C. Pete Bargreen - The witnese aubmitted that he works for CroWn <br /> Dietributing. He contended [hat Crown Dletributing fuela their <br /> trucka 15 - 20 times a day aad uaea the roade in che area, <br /> including 37th Street. He contended that th1.a traffic could bec�e <br /> a problem Kith the traueient tenanta of the facility. Also, <br /> vandalization of trucke could occur. He su6mitted that the <br /> eularging of 37th Street for future use will create additional <br /> probleme. <br /> D. Wilma Betta - The xitnesa aubmitted that truck traffic will not be <br /> a problem and vandalism will be reduced. She contended that the <br /> residenta of the fac3lity will be off-aite during the day and xill <br /> be in a controlled environment in the evening. <br /> E. Enid Norlund - The witnesa aubmitted that ehe has lived in the <br /> neighborhood for 76 years and generally opposed the requeet. <br /> 21.
