March 10, 1981
Mr. Brad Cattle
City Attorney
3002 Wetmore
Everett, WA 98201
Dear Mr. Cattle:
Anard eude n 5{omes
4332 Evergreen Way
Everett, Washington 98203
(206) 259.1001
N F ngF2
MAR 11 1981
City Attemey's Office
I am enclosing a copy of the letter we received March 9, 1981, from the
Department of Public Works concerning a fire hydrant we are being forced
to install.
We have faced this similar situation before and feel it is totally
unjust for us to furnish a fire hydrant in an established area where
new construction is going on constantly.
It is my understanding that there is an ordinance known a;,<< "latc
comers agreement" where we would be reimbursed for a portion of the
fire hydrant cost as new construction continues in the area.
I realize there are fees for the city's expenses in setting up a late
comers agreement, which we would be more than willing to pay. I would
certainly appreciate hearing from someone on this matter as soon as
possible.
Sincerely//
Harz 9.
