January 28. 2010 1.'. 093-93256.100 <br />6.0 SITE INSPECTION AND MONITORING <br />Monitoring includes visual inspection of BMPs and documenting th�� Gndings in a site logbook. A site <br />logbook will be maintained for all on-site wnstruction achvities and will include� <br />■ A record o( the imp�ementation of lhe SWPPP requirements <br />■ Site inspeclions. <br />■ BMP mamtenance activihes <br />■ Moddications lo BMPs or impiementation ol additional BMPs. <br />6.1 SITE INSPECTION <br />Site inspections will ocwr in all areas dislurbed by construction activities and al all stormwater discharge <br />poinls. If present, slormwater will be visually ezamined tor the presence of suspended sediment, <br />turbidity, discoloretion, and oily sheen. All BMPs will be inspected to assess Iheir wnddion and <br />eRediveness and to identi(y any maintenance and / or repair actions needed to ensure the peAormance <br />of their intended function The site inspedor wdl also evaluate and document the eftectiveness of the <br />mstalled BMPs and determine if it is necessary to moddy or install additional BMPs. <br />In atcordance with Condihcn Sit.D of the NPDES Permit, based on the results of the inspecGon, any <br />problems idennfied will be corrected as follows: <br />■ Pu�ly implement and mamtain appropnate source control andlor treatment BMPs as soon <br />as possible, but no later ihan within 10 days of the inspection. <br />■ Document BMP implemenlafion a�d maintenance in the site logbook. <br />■ Review the SWPPP for compliance with Condition S12 and make appropriale revisions <br />within 7 days of the inspecLon. <br />6.1.1 Site Inspection Frequency <br />Sile inspections wdl be conducted at least once per calendar week during soil cap consirudion and within <br />24 hours of any dlscharge irom the site. The inspection frequency lor temporarily stabilized, inaclive <br />areas may be reduced to onr.e per calendar month. <br />6.1.2 Sitelnspection Documentation <br />The inspection Porm prese�ted in Appendix D of this SWPPP includes the requued informalion (or the site <br />log600k. Inspeclwn (orms may be attached to Ihe end of this SWPPP d i� is bound in a 3-ring binder. <br />Altemalively, the forms may be separeted and included in a separate site logbook. However, i( <br />separated, lhe sde logbook must be mamtained on-site or wilhin reasonable access to the site. In either <br />case, lhe logbook will be made available upon request to DOE or the local jurisdiction. <br />At a mmimum, each inspection reporl will include�. <br />
