Import'l�opsoil: Scraned sandy loarq minunum 896 organic matter, Maximum <br />25Wo passing a 200 scroen or Pacific Topsoils Winter Mix. Contractor to provide <br />tests for N, P, K, pH, trace minerals and rxorm�endations for amendments. <br />Miend topsoil as recommended in report, modifying the basic <br />fertilizers/amendments specified at no additional cost. <br />B. Planting Bacicfill: Import topsoil as specified. <br />PLANTS <br />A. Quantities, species and varieties, siu and condition as shown on plant scheduk. <br />Plants ro be Washington Grade No. l and fresh, well-foliaged, in prime condition <br />when in leaf, exhibiting norrt�al habit of growth, having all buds intact and fra of <br />disease, injury, insxts, insect eggs, lazva, indication of suawberry root wavil, all <br />serds and wad roots. <br />B. All plants shall be from stock which has been acclimated to conditions prevailing at <br />the project and which has ban consistently cultivated and grown in these <br />conditions. No cold storage plants; all grafted troes to be grafted at ground kvel <br />C. Ball and budapped (B&B) stock to have a natural ball sufficient to insure survival <br />and healthy growth; bare root (BR) materials to have sufficient root system to <br />insure survival and healthy growth. <br />D. Substitutions are strongly discouraged. No substitutions shaR be made without the <br />written approval of the PORT. Requests for subsdtutions must be made at the <br />t'vne that documentation of ordered plant material is provided. The substitution <br />request must be acco►r�anied by written proof from at least 5ve sources (major <br />�uppliers of the plant) that any plant is not availabk. <br />FERTILIZERS AND SOIL AMENDMENTS <br />A. General: Approved brands conforming to applicable State fertiliur laws. Uniform <br />in composition, dry, fra-tlowing, defivered ro the site in original unopened <br />containers, wch bearing the manufacturer's guazanteed analysis. <br />B. Trees, Shrubs and Groundcover: <br />Formula 4.2.2 "Transplanter" as manufactured by Pacific Agro Co., with <br />Hercules Nitrofonn and W.R.
