Additional copies will be furnished, upon request, at the cost of � <br />reproduction and postage. . <br />� .,L, . � �: 11_ , � � .�� <br />2.4 The Contract Time will cortunence to run on the effective date stated in the Notice ro Proceed, <br />but in no case shall it be lata than seven (7) days zfrer the date of the Notice ro Procad ktter. M <br />executed copy of the Agreement will be transmitted to the CONTRACfOR by the PORT with the <br />Notice to Proceed. <br />u ' r <br />2.5 The COIVTRACC'OR shall show evidence that work has cortunenced on the project <br />within seven (7) days from the effective date of the Notice to Procad. Work in this case is not <br />limited to physical work at the project site. Work started prior to the effective date stated in the <br />Notice to Procad shall be at the CONTRACCOR's risk. <br />2.6 Before undertaking eacli part of the Work, CONTRACI'OR shall carefully study a►id compaze <br />the Contract Documents and check and verify pertinent figures shown thereon and all app6cable field <br />measurements. CONTRACTOR shall promptly report in writing to ENGINEER any conflict, e�ror <br />or discrepancy which COIV7RACTOR may discover; however, COIVTRACTOR shall not be liable to <br />PORT or ENG[NEER for failure to report any conflict, error or discrepancy in the Drawings or <br />Spu:ifications, unless CONTRACCOR had actual knowledge thereof or should reasonably have <br />known thereof. <br />2.7 Within 6ve (5) days after the e�'xtive date of the Notice to Procad and prior to start of work <br />(unless otherwise speci5ed in thc General Requirements), CONTRACfOR shall submit to <br />ENGINEER for review an estimatcd progress schedule indicating the starting and compktion dates <br />of the various stages of the Work, a preliminary scheduk of Shop Drawing subrnissions. The schedule <br />shall include a bar chan. The CONCRACI'OR may use a cor►vnercial program such as the "Harvard <br />Project Planner" or equal. <br />2.7.1 Within 6v� (5) days after the effa:tive date of the Notice to Proceed and prior ro start of work <br />(unless othcrwise specified in the General Requ:rements), CONTRAC'COR shall submit to <br />ENG[NEER for review a preliminary schedule of the values of the work.
