PORT OF EVERETT <br />UMON SLOUGH �IARSH MITIGATIC.N <br />ARTICLE 8 - PORTS RESPONSIBILITIES <br />SECT]ON 00700 <br />GENERAL CON11)iT[ONS <br />8.1 PORT shall issue all communications to CONTRAGTOR ehrough ENGINEER. <br />8.2 In case of temtination of the employment of EN(3INEER, PORT shall appoint an engineer <br />against whom CONTRA� 1'OR makes no reasonabk objection, whose status unda the C.ontract <br />Documents shall be that of the fortner ENGINEER. <br />8.3 PORT shell fiunish the data required of PORT undw the Contract Documents pror�tly and shall <br />make payments to CONTRACi'OR as provided in paragraphs 14.4 and 14.13. <br />8.4 PORTs duties in respect of providing lazids and easements and providing eng'ubering survey <br />infortnation to establish roCerencc points are set forth in pazagraphs 4.1 and 4.4. Pazagraph 4.2 refers <br />to PORTs identifying and maldng availebk to COIV7'RACTOR copies of reports of �rvescigations <br />and tests of subsurface and latent physical conditions at the site or otherwise affecting perfom�ance of <br />the Work which have been relied upon by ENGIIVEER in preparing the Drawings and Specifications. <br />8.5 PORT's responsibilities in respect of purchasing end meintairt ig liability insurana are set forth in <br />pazagraphs 5.5. <br />8.6 In connecdon with PURTs rights to request changes in the Woric in accordana with Artick 10, <br />PORT (especially in cectain tnstances as provided in pazagraph 10.4) is ob6gated to execute Change <br />Orders. <br />8.7 PORT's responsibility in respa�ct of certain inspections, tests and approvals is set forth in <br />paragraph 13.4. <br />8.8 In connection with PORT's right to stop Work or suspend Work, sa paragraphs 13.10 and 15.1 <br />Pazagraph i 5.2 deals with PORTs right to terminate services of COIV'CRACTOR under catain <br />c'vcumstances. <br />END Al2TICLE 8 <br />,j <br />t <br />
