In the event that the COIVTRACTOR requests such inswctions in <br />order to comply with the Conaact requirements, the ENGINEER will+�rovide the instiuctions in <br />writing, within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period. no add'aional payments will be msde to the <br />CUNTRACCOR for equipment, labor, or any other item rehted to the request for instruclions. <br />In addition, the requ'vcments of the Contract Documents may be suppluneeted, and minor :,uiations <br />and deviations in the work may be authorized, in one or more of the following ways: <br />a ENGII�EER may authoriu minor variations in the work from the requ'vert�ents of the <br />Contract Documents which do not involve an adjustment in the Contract Price or the <br />Contract Time end are consistent with the overall intent of the Contract Docurtents. <br />These may be accomplished by a Field Ordu and will be biMing on PORT, and also <br />on CON'TRACTOR who shall perform the work involved promptly. If <br />CON'fRACI'OR believes that a Fieid Order justi5es an increase in the Contract Price <br />or an eztension of the Contract Time and the parties are unabk to agra as to she <br />amuunt or extent thereof. The COIVTRAC'1'OR rtwy make a claim as provided in <br />Article I1. <br />b. ENGINEER's approval of a Shop Dcawing or sartipk. <br />c.
