PORT OF EVERETT <br />UMON SLOUGH MARSH MITIdATION <br />ARTICLE 10 - CHANGES W Ti� WORK <br />SECi'!ON 00700 <br />(iENERAL CONDITIONS <br />10.1 Without invalidating the Agrament, PORT may, at any tirne, order addirions, dcktions or <br />revisions in the Work; these will be authorized by Change Orders. <br />a. li the CONCRACTOR believes that cort�kdon of the provisions included in a Change Order <br />justi5es a change in the Contract Price he shall submh to the PORT prior w eaecution of the <br />provisions of the �ange Order his es!irtnted cost for completion of the Qunge Order, and shall <br />include with his suMnittal such informaHon nxessary to substantiate the request for a change in the <br />ConC;act Ptia. [f the roquest for a change in the Connact Price is not accepted by tl►e PORT, PORT <br />may requQe firrther substantiedng rt�aterial from the CONTRACI'OR, may wittdraw the Change <br />Uder or may d'aect the COIV7'R.4CI'OR to compkte the Worl� on a fora account buis. Payment <br />fur force account wotk shall be as detetrttined by the conditions spxi5ed in Artick I 1. <br />b. All such Work shall be executed undu the applicable conditions of the Contract Documents. <br />10.2 ENGINEER may authorize minor changes in the Work which are consistent with the overall <br />intent of the Contract Documents. These may be accomplished by a F'xld Order and shall be bit►ding <br />on PORT, and aLso on CONTRACTOR who shall perform the change promptly. <br />10.3 Additional Work perfomed without suthorization of a Change Orda will not endtk <br />CONTRACTOR to an increase in the Co�trnct Price or an extension of the Contract Time. <br />10.4 CONTRACTOR may request a Chsnge Order to reflxt rtadi5cations to the Work resniting <br />from unfotesan site conditions. If ENGD rEER determines that such unforsoen site condidons <br />requ've a modi5cation of the Work, ENGINEER will prepare a Change Order for exxudon by PORT <br />incorporating such modificaaons as necessary to proceed with and compkte the Worlc. The <br />CONTRACCOR shall be responsible for reallocation of his wotk-force when worl- cannot be <br />continued in an area due to unforsxn conditions. In no event will the PORT roimburse the <br />CONTRACTOR for charges caused by delays unless prior written authorization is provided by the <br />PORT. <br />END ARTICLE 10 <br />
