I1 • Include representative samples of the materials that are to be used in the ' 2 HMA production as part of the mix design submittal. See Section 5- 3 04.2(1)A to determine when to include samples of RAP or RAS. 4 5 • Identify the brand, type, and percentage of anti-stripping additive in the I 6 mix design submittal. 7 8 • Include with the mix design submittal a certification from the asphalt I 9 binder supplier that the anti-stripping additive is compatible with the crude 10 source and the formulation of asphalt binder proposed for use in the mix 11 design. I 12 13 • Do not include warm mix asphalt (WMA) additives when developing a mix 14 design or submitting a mix design for QPL evaluation. The use of warm I15 16 mix asphalt (WMA) additives is not part of the process for obtaining approval for listing a mix design on the QPL. I The Contracting Agency Review of Form 350-042 may elect to test the mix for compliance with design materials, or I Visual Evaluation Sections 9-03.8(2) and evaluate in accordance 9-03.8(6) with WSDOT Standard Practice QC-8, at its sole 1 discretion. 22 23 If the Contracting Agency approves the mix design, it will be listed on the QPL for 24 12 consecutive months. The Contracting Agency may extend the 12 month listing I25 provided the Contractor submits a certification letter to the Qualified Products 26 Engineer verifying that the aggregate source and job mix formula (JMF) gradation, 27 and asphalt binder crude source and formulation have not changed. The Contractor ' 28 may submit the certification no sooner than one month prior to expiration of the 29 initial 12 month mix design approval. Within 7 calendar days of receipt of the 30 Contractor's certification, the Contracting Agency will update the QPL.
