8 <br /> C. GOLF SHOP OPERATIONS <br /> 1. Contractor Staff Functions <br /> a. Contractor Staff Duties and Responsibilities <br /> All contractor staff will discharge their responsibilities consistent with the <br /> requirements and conditions of this contract and with City policies and <br /> procedures. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the <br /> following: <br /> 1) Pro Shop sales. <br /> 2) Power and hand cart rental and maintenance. <br /> 3) Golf club and equipment rentals. <br /> 4) Tee sheet management. <br /> 5) Teaching of lessons and programs. <br /> 6) Operation of practice areas and putting greens. <br /> 7) Planning, marketing, programs' implementation. <br /> 8) Starting. <br /> 9) Marshalling. <br /> 10)Tournament, league and special event promotion, selling, <br /> scheduling, packaging and hosting. <br /> 11)Men's and ladies' club coordination and scheduling. <br /> 12)Cleanliness and maintenance of facilities (except grounds and <br /> landscaped areas). <br /> 13)Customer service. <br /> 14)Revenue collection and reconciliation. <br /> 15)Facility opening and closing such as the locking and unlocking <br /> of gates and doors. <br /> 2. Personnel Supervision <br /> a. Employ a general manager who will serve as the overall person in charge <br /> of the Contractor's operations. The general manager will oversee each <br /> course's pro shop manager. The general manager's employment shall be <br /> subject to approval by the City which approval shall not be unreasonably <br /> withheld. General and specific responsibilities are identified in Exhibit A. <br /> b. Employ a pro shop manager(also known as the head pro) at each golf <br /> course. The pro shop managers must be a Class "A" Professional Golf <br /> Association(PGA) member. The pro shop managers will be in charge of <br /> daily operations at their respective courses. The pro shop managers' <br /> employment shall be subject to approval by the City which approval shall <br /> not be unreasonably withheld. General and specific responsibilities are <br /> identified in Exhibit A. <br /> 5 <br />
