We feel it is good to
honor someone while they are still here to appreciate it and hope you will share our
sentiments.
Vicki Rosenau: How would the room name be noted?
Larry O'Donnell: That hasn't been decided, but I would imagine with the plaque.
Mark French: I was the project architect for the library renovation under Mark Nesse.
He had vision; he had ideas and was open to new ideas and was easy to work with. He
led the troops. I appreciate your taking the initiative to honor his role in these efforts. I
am proud to have had the opportunity to work with him.
Jan Meston: The Commission has received one written comment from Isabelle Eytinge
supporting the proposal.
Barb Hardman moved to recommend that City Council accept the recommendation of
the Library Board of Trustees and name the Main Reading Room of the Everett Public
Library the "Mark A. Nesse Reading Room." The motion was seconded by Jack
O'Donnell and passed unanimously.
10
Sue Walsh: I appreciate the quality of the presentation.
3
