fi <br /> 2007 STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement <br /> any sensory,physical or mental handicap,status as Vietnam-era veterans or disabled <br /> veterans,or because of an individual's sexual orientation. <br /> • All subcontracts awarded in excess of$10,000 by the Contractor or subcontractors shall <br /> contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246 entitled"Equal <br /> Employment Opportunity" as amended by Executive Order 11375, and supplemented in <br /> U.S. Department of Labor regulations,41 CFR 60. <br /> Non-discrimination in Services <br /> • The Contractor shall not,on grounds of race, color,sex,religion,national origin, creed, <br /> marital status, age,the presence of any sensory,mental or physical handicap, status as <br /> Vietnam-era veteran or disabled veteran, or because of an individual's sexual <br /> orientation: 1)Deny an individual any services or other benefits provided under this <br /> Agreement;2)Provide any service(s)or other benefits to an individual,which are <br /> different from those provided to others under this Agreement; 3)Subject an individual to <br /> segregation or separate treatment in any manner related to receipt of any service(s)or <br /> other benefits provided under this Agreement;and 4)Deny an individual an opportunity <br /> to participate in any program provided under this Agreement through the provision of <br /> services or otherwise afford an opportunity to do so which is different from that afforded <br /> others under this Agreement except as required by federal and/or state legislation, <br /> regulation,or policy to meet the needs of specific populations. <br /> Non-discrimination in Publications <br /> • All publications resulting from or produced under this Agreement including brochures, <br /> reports,advertisements intended for public distribution shall contain the following: <br /> "No person shall, on the grounds of race,color,religion, sex,handicap,national origin, <br /> age,citizenship,political affiliation or belief, or sexual orientation,be denied <br /> employment or benefits,or be discriminated against as a participant, administrator, or <br /> staff person under this program." <br /> 30. NON-COMPLIANCE WITH NON-DISCRIMINATION LAWS <br /> In the event of the Contractor's noncompliance or refusal to comply with any <br /> nondiscrimination laws,regulations,or policies, this Contract may be suspended or <br /> terminated in whole or in part, and the Contractor may be declared ineligible for further <br /> contracts with the Department. The Contractor shall,however,be given a reasonable time, <br /> as determined by the Department,in which to take corrective action that shall bring it into <br /> compliance. <br /> 31. SERVICES TO LIMITED-ENGLISH-PROFICIENT (LEP) PERSONS <br /> To ensure compliance with Title VI and the Safe Streets Act,recipients are required to take <br /> reasonable steps to ensure that LEP persons have meaningful access to their programs. <br /> Meaningful access may entail providing language assistance services,including 36 <br /> Page 12 of 18 <br />
