Exhibit A (cont.)
10
2. 32 -port managed Ethernet switch, configured and installed.
3. Configuration notes and settings.
Task 230 - SCADA Software Reconfiguration
The existing SCADA software will be reconfigured to communicate to the Plant PLC's over the new
communications network. Using a copy of the existing application, Tetra Tech will reconfigure the Wonderware
database in our office. When the database work is completed, Tetra Tech will load the new database onto one of
the existing SCADA computers, unplug the serial connection and test the application using the Ethernet
connection to confirm that the communications link is operating correctly. When testing on the first SCADA
terminal is complete and the City confirms that the application is operating normally, the second SCADA
terminal and the existing Touch Panel will be upgraded to match the first terminal.
Tetra Tech will purchase the Siemens Ethernet software driver that is needed for the Wonderware application to
communicate with the existing PLC equipment.
TASK 300 — CHEMICAL FEED PROGRAMMING AND O&M MANUAL
Task 310 - SCADA Programming
SCADA database, alarming, and screens for the new Chemical Feed equipment will be developed as outlined in
the P&IDs included in the contract documents. Comments from the City are to be implemented following the
first development review meeting.
The SCADA computer programming will include modifications to the existing Water Filtration Plant SCADA
system. The Operator Interface Terminal applications will be a copy of the main Water Filtration Plant SCADA
application.
SCADA programming is based on the development of .3 new screens:
Task 320 - Historical Database
Historical database configuration will be done for the new data from the Chemical Feed equipment. The
historical configuration will be modifications to the existing Water Filtration Plant SQL database. The data tags
will be added as directed by the City up to a maximum of 70 tags. All modifications will be made during startup
of the system.
Task 330 - PLC Programming
Provide ladder logic programming as required to map all new field points to memory registers as required for
efficient communications. Ladder logic programming will be performed as required to execute system functions.
Ladder logic programming will also be done for communications between the Chemical Feed PLC and the Plant
Master PLC.
PLC programming is based on the 1/0 count provided in the contract documents (18 analog I/O and 65
discrete I/O).
Tetra Tech will purchase the network communications module required for the existing Plant PLC to
communicate with the new Chemcial Feed PLC.
Task 340 - Factory Testing
Setup equipment and test all control functions, display, alarm, and PLC I/O, control and programming. Test
SCADA, PLCs, and communications equipment for end to end data transmission integrity and accuracy. Test all
SCADA screens, data monitor screens,. and trend screens, for connectivity, completeness, and accuracy of
74
